Welcome to "Returning to America's Christian Foundation." Now, more than ever, I feel convinced that true faith must always be accompanied by action. I have seen positive signs of a turnaround in our culture. Tim Tebow is becoming a national icon and his faith has appealed to many curious seekers. Believers in Athens, Texas, have stood up to the Freedom From Religion Foundation, who requested that the city remove its nativity scene; however, we must get on the same sheet of music going forward. A half-century of foolish legislation has left us as a nation in dire straits morally.
We are defeated in this fight only if you believe that and do nothing. I have two passages for your encouragement today, one secular and one Biblical.

"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them (the antichrists), because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."-I John 4:4 (parenthesis mine)
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being scared about our fate as a country. The above verse reminds me that we have Divine help in our corner. How can we, even if outnumbered, possibly be stopped? I didn't serve a year in Afghanistan only to come back to a crumbling nation that is doomed to failure. For those of you who don't believe in national pride, in future articles I will give you my reasons for America's critical role in the advancement of the Gospel and in the interests of liberty worldwide. Until then, think on "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable...excellent or praiseworthy..." (Phil. 4:8). In this way we will be a living example to those living in darkness.
